Simooya School is Under Threat

Simooya School in rural Zambia has until 2026 to build science labs. If it fails the secondary school will be forced to close, denying hundreds of children an education.

Until 2015 this remote community had no school so its members stepped up, donating their time to build classrooms. This year the Ministry of Education warned that the secondary facilities must be improved or closed. The community has achieved so much but cannot meet this deadline alone and need YOUR help to secure their children’s futures.

Daka explains, “The construction of the new science lab is very important as without it the secondary school cannot continue.

Without these facilities children will be forced to leave education, young girls will face increased risk of child marriage and exploitation, and a generation of young people will lose their chance to escape poverty.
