Our support in 2019 includes sponsoring their nutrition programme, which provides monthly cookery demonstrations, health education talks and growth monitoring targeting 20 severely malnourished children, aged five years old or under. Parents are also involved – many of whom are living with HIV.
This work helps to improve the care and resilience of vulnerable populations while supporting HIV control in Zambia, as without an adequate diet ART medication can be ineffective. Jennifer, pictured right, is just one of the children who has benefited from this project.
We will also be supporting 92 children to attend local schools and 15 youths to gain vocational qualifications at college or university.
