Making a big difference
Our Trustees cover 100% of our low UK fundraising costs, and our local grassroots partners make heavy use of volunteers and gifts in kind so your donations can make the biggest difference possible to orphans and other vulnerable children and youths.
There are three easy ways you can donate to ZOA-UK’s work online:
Alternatively please send a cheque or postal order made payable to Zambia Orphans Aid UK to: Zambia Orphans Aid UK, 2A Nine Chimneys Lane, Balsham, Cambridgeshire CB21 4ES.
Become a Friend
Could you join our growing membership of Friends and commit to a monthly or annual donation? Setting up a regular gift enable us to make longer-term commitments to the children we support. The simplest way to do this is via the ‘Regular Donation’ tab on the CAF button to the right. Please remember to ask your employer if they will match your charitable donations.
Leave a legacy
Leaving a gift in your will is an investment which will have a long-lasting impact, helping to build a better future for communities we work with. Having spent your working life providing for yourself and your family, we understand that what you leave behind has been hard-earned, carefully managed and is extremely important to you. If you do choose to leave a legacy we will ensure this continues to be the case and promise to use your gift carefully. To discuss leaving a legacy please contact Katy on 01223 890162.
Easyfundraising – Raise funds while you shop online

We have benefitted from fundraising events at several schools. If you have a connection to a local school we would be very grateful if you could suggest ZOA-UK as a charity partner.
Sponsored events & challenges
If you are planning an event or challenge please could you consider fundraising on our behalf?
Four weeks in the saddle, 2,500 km on a circuit of France, alone. There were times when the whimsical post-retirement concept (Taste the wines! Improve language skills! Admire scenery!) did not quite match reality in France’s worst summer for years. One wet and windy week in, the sponsorship I carried with me for ZOA was a huge help in maintaining motivation to keep going.
The weather (and my French) improved, the final week (Loire valley) had much the best cycling roads, and my generous sponsors coughed up willingly to the tune of over £5,000 plus gift aid back home. I still smile thinking of it.
Now, I have the grandchildren fundraising for ZOA as well. Christmas: an “entertainment” by them, with every adult relation charged £5 entry, attendance – of course – compulsory.
Other supporters have raised funds by:
- Climbing mountains
- Holding fashion swap events
- Throwing dinner parties
- Cycling from Land’s End to John o’ Groats
- Running 5Ks to marathons
- Auctioning art work
- Holding collections at concerts and plays.
It’s simple to set up a personalised fundraising page at www.justgiving.com/zoauk. This can be shared with family and friends and donations go directly to ZOA-UK.
